Q: How does this work?

A: Start by clicking “Get Started”. Fill out the information and click “Submit”. 

• You will receive an email with a link to pay for the order

• Once you have completed payment, we are ready to begin

• Write your essay & short answers in a Google Doc.

• Share the Google Doc with us. We will provide you the email address to share it with, after receiving your payment.

• One of YapWorks reviewers will review your work. And provide comments within the Google Doc you shared.

• Review our comments. If you need to talk let us know and we will setup a call to go over the review.

• Make changes to your work based on our comments.

• We will review it again and provide further comments if necessary.

• Once you feel you are happy with the work, you are ready to go.

• That will be the end of the review.

Q: Can YapWorks write the essay for me?

A: No. This is meant to be your essay. We are here to coach you, provide you feedback and help the essay make an impact.

Q: How much does this cost?

A: $429 – one college app (essay + short answers). $529 – package of three college apps; for the same candidate. $89 / app beyond 3 apps.

Q: Can I start with the 1-essay option and if I like the service, convert it to the 3-essay option later?

A: Yes. You can do it for an additional cost of $125. We will be happy to change your option to the 3-essay option. Email us at yap@yapworks.com when you are ready.

Q: How do I pay?

A: You can pay online using the link that will be emailed to you after you submit the online form at https://www.yapworks.com/getstarted/

Q: Do I need a Google / Gmail account?

A: Yes. Since we ask you to create your essay as a Google Doc and share it with us.

Q: Are there in-person meetings with a YapWorks team member?

A: No. There are no in-person meetings. All communication is remote, through document comments, email, phone or Google Meet.

Q: Is the feedback you provide only a general high level feedback?

A: No. It will be a detailed feedback tailored for your specific essay.

Q: How long does it take YapWorks to provide feedback to my shared essay?

A: We respond within 1 – 3 days. Many times a lot faster. We request you to leave enough lead time before the app submission deadline for the college.

Q: Is there a limit to the number of times you can review my work?

A: No. There is no limit. You can make changes and ask us to review again. A good essay takes about 6-10 iterations of reviews.

Q: Do I need to complete my essays and answers within a specific time? 

A: Yes. You have 6 months from the date of your order to complete your essays and answers and complete all the reviews with YapWorks.

Q: What if I am not happy and need a refund? 

A: We offer a Full Money Back Guarantee. No questions asked. You have 1 month from the date of the order to ask for a refund. We will appreciate if you tell us what we can do better.
